Glenrothes 1995

This 1995 vintage from Glenrothes was the first of their whiskies to be aged with a specific character in mind. This was made with 70% refill casks and 30% sherry-treated casks (American and Spanish oak).It has a very buttery toffee apples and hints of allspice notes on the nose. A little milk chocolate, manuka honey, dates and cinnamon too.The palate are american-style pancakes laden with cinnamon, vanilla and maple syrup. Creamy malt, sherry and peanut butter.Long finish with toasted almonds and golden syrup.
