Les Hauts De Meyney is the second wine of Chateau Meyney. The Chateau is an ancient covent built in 1662 and one of the oldest vineyards in the Saint-Estephe appeliation. The grapes are 100% hand-harvested and the wine spends 12 months in French oak barrels. The blend, composed of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 15% Petit Verdot, reveals a bright ruby colour and aromas of cassis and sweet spices. Full-bodied and fruity on the palate, this elegant wine makes an excellent accompaniment to poultry, grilled meats, and aged cheeses.
